Rebuilt battery, advance exchange

Spectris Solaris EP Battery Exchange

When a Medrad Spectris Solaris EP will not power up, it is usually the battery. With an advance exchange we ship you a rebuilt pack first, so your injector is back in service before your old pack ever leaves the room.

$700 once your old pack comes back. You pay $1,100 when you order, and we refund $400 when your old pack is returned.

A Working Pack Before You Send Yours

You are buying time. With a send-in rebuild the injector waits while your pack is away. With an exchange, a rebuilt pack reaches you first.

How the Exchange Works

Four steps. Your injector is only out of service for as long as the swap takes.

1. Confirm your part number
Read the part number off your pack's label and send it to us. We check it against our pack before anything ships.
2. We ship a rebuilt pack
It ships in 1 to 2 business days, and shipping is free. US addresses only.
3. Send your old pack back
Return it within 30 days of delivery on the prepaid label we provide. Your old pack needs to come back in one piece: housing not cracked, no leaks or water damage.
4. We refund $400
The refund goes out when your old pack is returned within 30 days. That brings your total to $700.

Check Your Label First

Medrad used more than one battery across the Spectris family. The part number on your pack's label tells us which one you have.

Which Pack This Replaces

This exchange is for the Spectris Solaris EP pack. Send us the number from your label with your request, and we confirm the match before anything ships.

Fits: 60721015 or 3012070
Bayer's part numbers for the Spectris Solaris EP battery. Dealers also list it as 203068.
Not for: SBP200
That is an older Spectris pack. This exchange does not replace it.
Not for: 59919044
That is a different Bayer pack. If it is the number on your label, call us before ordering.
We confirm before it ships
A wrong pack costs you days, so we check the number with you first. If it does not match, nothing ships.

What You Are Getting

A straight answer on what this pack is, so you can decide if it is right for your department.

Rebuilt With New Cells, Not New OEM

Every pack we send has been rebuilt with new cells by a US battery rebuilder. It is a third-party rebuild, not a new Bayer OEM part, and we would rather you know that up front.

New cells inside
Each pack is rebuilt with new cells by a US battery rebuilder. The cells are what wear out, so the cells are what get replaced.
New box, custom-cut foam
Your pack arrives in a new box with foam cut to fit it. Bag your old pack and send it back by itself in the same box and foam, so it can't move.
Not a Bayer OEM pack
It is a third-party rebuild, not a new Bayer part. If your department requires OEM parts only, this is not the right option.
6-month warranty
If it fails within 6 months, we send a replacement pack. The warranty is tied to the serial number on the pack, recorded on your order.
US only
Sealed lead-acid batteries carry shipping restrictions outside the US. We ship this exchange to US addresses only.

Signs It Is the Battery

These symptoms usually point to the pack on a Solaris EP. If a good pack does not fix it, the injector needs a service call.

Solaris EP Battery Symptoms

In our experience, most Solaris EP no-power calls come down to the battery. If a known-good pack does not bring it back, see our Spectris Solaris troubleshooting page or call us.

Will not power up
The injector stays dark or will not come up at all. On a Solaris EP, the battery is the most common cause.
Shuts down during an injection
The EP runs on its battery while it injects, so a weak pack shows up mid-study. That sends a patient back to the schedule.
Will not hold a charge
It runs on the charger and dies soon after. Sealed lead-acid packs wear out with age, like any battery.
Still dead with a good pack
Then the charger or the injector itself is next. That is a service call, and we do those on site.

Put the battery in a bag. Tape one NON-SPILLABLE BATTERY label on the battery and one on the outside of the box; we email both labels with your prepaid return label. Pack the battery by itself, in the same box and foam, so it can't move in the box.
