Titanium is not non-sparking. For a flammable atmosphere you need beryllium copper, and we will tell you that rather than sell you the wrong material. It is also less stiff than steel and it costs more.
Care and Storage
Rinse with fresh water if convenient. Do not oil it, and do not spray it with corrosion inhibitor - it does nothing on titanium and makes the handles slippery.

No. Titanium forms a self-repairing oxide layer that makes it inert in seawater rather than slow to corrode. Published data puts the corrosion rate below 0.0005 mm per year, and titanium recovered after years at depth shows no measurable corrosion, including no pitting under marine growth.
For most conditions 316 stainless is good and much cheaper. Titanium wins in one specific way that matters if your tools stay wet: 316 remains vulnerable to pitting and crevice corrosion in warm, stagnant chloride conditions, and titanium is not. If your tools dry out between uses, stainless is the sensible buy.
About 44% lighter than the same tool in steel. Grade 5 titanium has a density of 4.43 g/cm3 against roughly 7.85 for chrome-vanadium tool steel and 8.0 for 316 stainless. That figure is calculated from material density, not weighed.
