Won't Power Back On After an Outage — A power event takes your GE CT fully offline, and bringing a GE LightSpeed or VCT back can be a quick sequence or a much longer day depending on what tripped. Guessing at the restart order is how a short fix becomes a lost morning.
System Communication Faults
Gantry-to-Host Communication Fault — The host computer loses communication with the gantry, and your GE CT won't scan until the link is back. On a GE LightSpeed or VCT it looks catastrophic and stops everything until it's traced.
Fiber-Optic Communication Fault — The fiber link between the GE CT host and the scanner hardware drops, and it's rarely obvious from the console alone. Left alone on a GE CT, it tends to get worse, not better.
Images Won't Send to PACS — Your GE CT finishes the study but it never reaches PACS, so radiology can't read it. Easy to blame the network and burn hours before anyone looks at the GE CT host.
