Used and Refurbished

Used and Refurbished Medrad Stellant CT Injectors

We supply, refurbish and install Medrad Stellant contrast injectors for CT, and we service them afterwards. Veteran-owned, and the same people who answer the phone are the ones who work on the machine.

This page covers the CT side. For the MRI injector see used Spectris Solaris, and for the overview see refurbished contrast injectors.

Every unit goes through our 34-point acceptance process before it is installed, with the signed report handed to you at installation.

Stellant Configurations We Supply

Tell us which one you need. If you are not sure, one photo settles it.

Which Stellant?

Syringe kits for this platform: Stellant dual syringe kit and Stellant single syringe kit. Every part number is on the syringe cross reference.

"Stellant CT" and "Stellant D" usually mean the same machine
Stellant CT is how people refer to a Stellant on a CT scanner, not a separate model. Ask whether a quote is for the dual or single unit before comparing prices.
Stellant D, dual syringe
Contrast and saline, one setup per patient, and the configuration most used units are. Bayer has published 12/31/2028 as its end of life date.
Single-head configurations
One syringe, cheaper to buy and to run per study. No saline flush from the injector.
Not sure which you have?
Send a photo of the label on the injector head and the part number on your syringe box. That identifies it in one message.

Inspected and Resealed

Every Stellant goes through our 34-point acceptance process before it is installed. The first half is hands-on: open it up, clean it, check it, reseal it.

What Gets Opened Up

Covers, gaskets, drive and syringe interface. Every place fluid or wear can get in.

Console and cabling
The display is decontaminated and checked for full-panel response. Every cable and the power cord is traced end to end for strain, abrasion and connector integrity.
Head covers and gaskets
Top and bottom covers, lens cap, pivot knuckle, front assembly and front cap seals are inspected at every joint. The head display and LED boards get the same check.
Pistons and syringe interface
Pistons, piston tips, flex cam rings and syringe sensors are cleaned and inspected. These are the parts that touch your syringes and move contrast.
Seals replaced and lubricated
Wear seals are replaced and freshly lubricated. Manual knobs, head cable and mount are checked for smooth travel and a secure fit.

Tested Before It Leaves

The second half proves it works. Every result is recorded on the report you receive at installation.

What Gets Tested

Both sides, independently, every unit. Not a sample.

Operational check
Clock and date are set, then full operation is exercised from the console. Load controls are cycled and the syringe heater is verified to warm.
Syringe position
Seating and position detection are confirmed on each side independently. The system knows where the plunger is before it ever injects.
Flow and volume
Each side runs a timed test injection. Duration and delivered volume are measured against manufacturer tolerance.
Pressure and electrical safety
The pressure limit is verified on each side against its rated set point. Ground resistance and leakage current are measured before release.

Four Things to Check Before You Buy Any Used Injector

Ask these of us, and of anyone else you are quoting. A seller who cannot answer them is telling you something.

Ask Before You Buy

A cheap injector missing its pedestal, cables or a service plan is not cheap.

What comes with it
Head, console, pedestal or mount, hand switch, cables and syringe adapters. Get the list in writing.
Whether the consumables are still supplied
The machine is worthless without kits. Confirm the syringe part number is in production and available from more than one source.
What software version it is on
Version affects what it talks to and what a service organization can support. Ask, and write the answer down.
Who will service it afterwards
The most expensive used injector is the one nobody local will touch. We service what we sell.

How Buying One Works

1

Tell us the configuration and the room

Which Stellant, single or dual syringe, pedestal or ceiling, and what CT it is going next to. Photos of the current setup help more than a spec sheet.

2

We match a unit to that requirement

We do not sell from a fixed list. We match a unit to what you actually need, and we tell you its condition before you commit.

3

Delivered and installed

Delivery and installation are included in the price. It arrives mounted, powered up and demonstrated in your room.

4

90-day parts warranty, then service

Parts and remote support for 90 days from installation. After that we are still the people who service it, and the ones who supply the syringes.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the configuration, its condition, what accessories come with it, and what is available at the time. We quote against a requirement rather than from a fixed list, so tell us the configuration you need and we will quote what we can actually deliver.

Yes. 90 days on parts, parts and remote support, running from the date of installation. That is our standard on refurbished injectors.

End of life is an OEM support date, not a date the machine stops working. What it does mean is that OEM service and parts wind down, and independent service and third-party consumables become the way these units stay running. That is the business we are in. Read what the dates actually say.

Yes. Delivery and installation are included, and we service what we sell.

Usually, and it is the cleanest way to do an upgrade. Tell us what you are replacing when you enquire and we will quote the replacement with the trade already in it. See what we buy.

Yes, and that is most of why sites call us. We stock-check and ship kits for Stellant, Spectris, Bracco and the Medrad angiographic line. See CT injector syringes.

Yes. Most institutional buyers work this way. Call 615-479-5572 or use the form below and we will set it up.

Tell us and we fix it. The 90-day parts warranty exists for exactly that, and we would rather sort it than argue about it.

Upgrading an Injector You Already Run

You do not have to treat the old injector and the new one as two separate problems. Tell us what you run now and what you want it to do, and we quote it as one conversation.

Trade the old one against the new one

One requirement, one quote, with what your existing injector is worth already taken off it. No listing it, no waiting on a broker, no gap in the room. What we pay for used injectors.

Moving from single to dual syringe

The usual upgrade. Contrast and saline on one head, one setup per patient instead of two. It changes your syringe kit part numbers as well, so we quote the consumables alongside the machine rather than letting you find that out afterwards. Syringe cross reference.

Sometimes the upgrade is the same model

Not every upgrade is a different configuration. Swapping a worn unit for a refurbished one on the same platform is often the cheaper fix, and nobody has to be retrained. We will tell you which of the two you are actually looking at.

No obligation

Tell us what you need and we will quote it

The configuration, the CT it is going next to, and your timeline. If you are replacing an existing injector, tell us what it is and we will look at taking it in trade.
